Sarah Allin DVM
Sarah Allin, DVM

Veterinarian/owner

Dr. Sarah Allin is a practicing veterinarian at both the SW Animal Health Centre and the Associate Pet Hospital. She has a passion for mixed animal practice and the variety of cases, patients, and clients it allows her to interact with. Her interest in becoming a veterinarian began growing up with her family’s mixed farm and cow-calf operation, as well as involvement in the 4-H beef project. She joined the team here in May of 2005 after graduating from WCVM. She and her husband Devin and three sons Austin, Cole, and Wade live on, and operate a ranch south of Swift Current.

Alison Eltom DVM
Alison Eltom, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Alison Eltom graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 1999. She spent a few years practicing in Alberta before joining us at Associate Pet Hospital in 2008. Although she thoroughly enjoys working with all our furry friends, cats will always hold a special place in her heart.

Having been in the veterinary profession for a while now, Alison has seen firsthand the changes and challenges we face. She has taken a special interest in supporting her own mental health, in addition to the mental health of those around her by taking some amazing courses in Mental Health First Aid and Suicide Awareness and Intervention. In addition to that, she has also taken a keen interest in trying to support our aging pet population. She is currently taking training to become a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian and hopes to complete that within this year. Once that is completed, there are some further courses she is looking to pursue to further expand the care she can provide for our aging pets.

Alison currently resides in Swift Current with her husband Brett, son Drew and 2 very affectionate cats, Rusty and Tuck. Her husband’s classroom pet rat also spends time at home with them when school is not in session.

Michelle Streeter, DVM
Veterinarian

Michelle was born and raised in Manitoba but moved away soon after high school. Life’s adventures took her all over Canada, from Ontario to BC working in different areas of the horse industry, on feedlots, and at ranches along the way. Through these adventures, Michelle was able to merge two of her passions, horses, and cattle. She found she loved learning about the management of animal diseases, animal production, and animal husbandry. In her mid-twenties, she decided to pursue a career as a veterinarian because she realized it would allow her to combine her passions and to be able to play an important role in the equine and agricultural industries. Michelle shares her passions with her partner, Lawrence Gareau, who trains ranch and cow-horses year-round and rides at a community pasture in the summers. After getting accepted into vet school, she focused her education on large animal medicine but found enjoyment in learning about companion animal medicine as well. Michelle decided a career as a mixed animal veterinarian would give her the best of all worlds, and was ecstatic to be hired at the South West Animal Health Centre. She hopes to focus her days as a veterinarian mostly on equine and bovine medicine but is excited to spend a couple of days a week at the Associate Pet Hospital as well. In her spare time, you will find her riding her horses, out running, or relaxing at home. Michelle and Lawrence are excited about moving to Swift Current and settling into the South West Saskatchewan community.
